Press Release
NewsNow releases new antidote to commuter boredom
2 December 2008
NewsNow today launches NewsNow Mobile, a new mobile site that makes it
possible to keep up-to-date with the latest news on whatever interests
you – your favourite football team, the financial crisis, or what's
happening on X Factor – from all the newspapers at once.
NewsNow is a rolling news service. In real time, it files the
headlines linking to 200,000 articles daily into over 2,500
‘feeds’,
from Arsenal to Zimbabwe. NewsNow Mobile brings this content to mobile
devices for the first time, using a specially optimised design.
Struan Bartlett, chairman, NewsNow Publishing Limited, said:
“We believe NewsNow Mobile could really be a new
‘killer app’ for
mobile phones,” said Bartlett.
“It makes a great alternative to reading the paper, whether you're
bored on the train, in a cafe or even in bed! Unlike a newspaper, it's
free, it's handy and it won't get ink on your fingers,” quipped
Bartlett.
With the news from newspapers, magazines and TV news sites all in once
place, there's always something new to read. You can skip what you
don't like and get more of what you do. It also makes a handy research
tool on the way to work or in meetings.
